British cellist Sophie Webber performs regularly as a soloist, chamber musician, and collaborator in Chicagoland, San Diego and the UK.  Sophie graduated with a Doctorate from the Indiana Jacobs School of Music and has studied under Janos Starker, Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, and Richard Markson.  Ms. Webber has received numerous awards, including the Sir John Barbirolli Memorial Award for Cello (Trinity College of Music), and the Graduate String Prize at Indianapolis Matinee Musicale.  As an educator, Sophie has served as cello faculty at Southeast Missouri University, the Oxford Cello School, Indiana University Summer String Clinic.  She is currently on the faculty at Lake Forest College and the Music Institute of Chicago.
